CLP Safety Data

At Kitty Angel Crafts, we understand the importance of safety and transparency. This page provides detailed information about our commitment to CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) regulations for our wax melts. We ensure all our products meet the highest safety standards, giving you peace of mind.

Why is Providing Clp Safety Data Important?

To safeguard the health and safety of users, warning labels for wax melts (CLP labels) are used to display any relevant warnings.

Due to their high concentration levels, some essential oils and fragrance oils can trigger skin irritations and allergies.  Kitty Angel Crafts DO NOT use essential oils in any products and use only natural fragrance oils, wax and natural colouring. Vegan and Cruelty free.

What should you look for?

To create compliant labels, you need to follow the detailed guidelines set by CLP regulation. This includes selecting the correct hazard pictogram and ensuring the text is legible and placed appropriately.

Each element, from the product identifier to the hazard and precautionary statements, must be accurate and easy for consumers to understand.

How Do We Provide CLP Safety Information?

Each Product will have a CLP label attached to the packaging. In case of multi scent products this may be on the back of the box identifying which scent is which colour.

Regulations and Guidelines

CLP stands for Classification, Labelling and Packaging. The CLP Regulation is a European Union (EU) regulation that has been adopted in the UK to ensure the safe handling and use of hazardous chemicals.

All hazardous products sold in the UK, including chemicals, pesticides, and cleaning products, require a CLP label. This includes products intended for use in the workplace and those sold to consumers.

Need More Information?

CLP labels are an important part of ensuring the safe handling and use of hazardous products in the UK. By providing specific information about the risks associated with a product, CLP labels can help to prevent accidents and protect the health and safety of users.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our CLP safety data or any of our wax melts crafts, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Safety advice

  1. Please read the safety label attached to your product before use to avoid any potential hazards.
  2. Please refer to the CLP label ingredients for allergy information
  3. Remove all packaging  before placing the wax melt in your burner
  4. If using a traditional tea light burner, use an unscented standard 4 hour tea light candle. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time and place on a heat proof surface
  5. Never overfill your burner with wax as the scent wont be any stronger
  6. Never leave a burning flame unattended and keep out of reach of children and pets.
  7. Never add water or  oils to your wax, do not mix waxes.
  8. The wax will remain hot  after the heat has been removed so do not move it as it will spill
  9. Allow the wax to solidify before moving your burner
  10. Never pour warm wax down the sink or drains as this will cause a blockage.
  11. Please dispose of your wax melt correctly once hard and put in a bin.
  12. Wax melts are not edible so keep away from children and pets
